The Iya Valley is a deep, V-shaped gorge carved by the Iya River, which flows through Miyoshi City in Tokushima Prefecture.
The area is part of the Tsurugisan Quasi-National Park and is counted among Japan’s three most remote, hidden regions.
It is also recognized as a Japanese Geopark, known as the "Miyoshi Geopark."
