It is a cluster of lakes and marshes located in Kitashiobara Village in the inland region of Fukushima Prefecture, and its hiking trail was awarded one star in the Michelin Green Guide in 2016.
福島県の内陸にある北塩原村にある湖沼群で、2016年にミシュラン・グリーンガイド1つ星に認定されたハイキングコースでもあります。
The colors of the ponds are affected by the minerals in the water and are said to change subtly depending on the season and weather.

The sound of bells heard occasionally is from bear bells.
たまに聞こえる鈴の音は熊よけの鈴です。
