Far from the giant amusement parks and tourist attractions, we visit a traditional crocodile farm where dozens of hungry reptiles wait beneath the surface of a green pond.

Armed with a long bamboo pole and a piece of meat dangling from a string, we try our luck at crocodile feeding. What looks like a simple game quickly turns into an exciting encounter as powerful jaws snap shut just inches from the bait. Some crocodiles leap almost vertically out of the water, competing for their next meal!

But the adventure doesn't end at the crocodile pond.

Crocodile meat is also a local specialty in southern Vietnam. At the farm's restaurant, we discover the other side of crocodile farming – from raising these prehistoric-looking reptiles to preparing them as food.

Crocodile meat can be grilled, stir-fried, steamed, or prepared in traditional Vietnamese dishes. It's an unusual culinary experience and an interesting glimpse into local food culture.

Unlike a zoo or a wildlife sanctuary, this is a working crocodile farm where the animals are raised commercially for meat and leather.
