Sinseondae sunset (Being Sinseon)

The name Sinseondae comes from the legend that a god-like being (a "sinseon") descended here to play. It's a large, wide rock formation that juts out towards the sea, and its top is relatively flat, making it a great spot to look out at the ocean or watch the sunset. However, possibly due to the time of my visit or perhaps the natural terrain, the sunset didn't sink directly into the sea but disappeared over the island to the right, which meant that the unique colors and atmosphere of a sunset over the water were somewhat diminished. Nevertheless, unlike typical beaches, the view of the sea from atop the rocks offers a wide and expansive vista. If I were that god-like being, I might have arranged for the sun to set right into the sea!
