Magic Kingdom is starting to look a little different again.
After months of construction walls, two familiar attractions have reopened. Big Thunder Mountain returned on May 3, 2026, with new scenery and a smoother track. Buzz Lightyear in Futureland reopened on April 8, 2026, with upgraded targets, real-time scoring, more accurate aiming, handheld lasers, and haptic feedback.
The castle also has a refreshed look, returning to its classic blue, gray, and white colors with gold accents after the rose-gold and pink 50th anniversary style.
There are still plenty of walls around the park, and more changes are coming, including water returning around the castle and the future replacement for Tom Sawyer’s Island and the Riverboat. For now, it is nice to see a few old favorites back in action.
Filmed in VR180 8K 3D for an immersive Magic Kingdom park update.
