Asaka Kaisei High School Yosakoi Club.It is not certain whether Yosakoi songs originated between 1500 and 1700.

Yosakoi dance was first performed in Kochi in 1950 and later spread throughout the country.

In Hokkaido, people started dancing to Soran songs, and it was also called Yosakoi Soran.

This dance came to be called ``Yosakoi'' and is now performed at festivals all over the country.
