It's time for the monthly recap of the weather in Boston!

April 2026 started off with some unseasonalby below-average temperatures, and some very late-season snow! ❄️ The month began with a dusting on April Fool's Day, and then the tail-end of a major severe weather outbreak that enveloped most of the United States starting around April 4 dropped 2 inches on Boston on April 6. After that, Boston saw a week of crazy temperature swings that saw Summer-like temperatures during the day, nearing the 70's sometimes, and drops all the way down into the teens overnight.
The middle of the month saw almost an entire week of very dense fog, day and night. Once the fog cleared, light spring rains and clear sunny days provided the perfect conditions for the spring bloom of all the trees and bushes in the neighborhood.
