In this timelapse video we begin the journey at Emily Gap just outside Alice Springs, then follow the southern edge of the very picturesque Macdonnell Ranges east for about 60 km before turning onto Binn's track. This small gravel road winds through the ranges in a north-easterly direction (beware the roller coaster!) and brings us to Arltunga, which during the 1887 gold rush was recognised as Central Australia's first official town but now is classified as a 'historical reserve' (aka 'ghost town').
