Marquette Harbor on Lake Superior in Michigan, United States of America

Stand on the shores of Lake Superior in Marquette, Michigan and gaze out at the Marquette Harbor Lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1866. Its original lens had a 180 degree arc, but was updated to 270 degrees in1870. Lake Superior is the world's largest freshwater lake by surface area and is home to many famous shipwrecks.
