Japan Yamagata Iide Town Mezaminosato Festival Kozirakawa Shrine Lion Dance

Kozirakawa Shrine is said to have begun about 900 years ago as a shrine to the spirit of Sarutahiko Shrine in Ise City, Mie Prefecture. Since the lion dances come from four shrines, the stage is at the shrine, and the grounds and bridge are temporary.The person holding the stick is called the guardian, and their job is to stop the lion from causing trouble and to protect both the lions and the people.
