In this adventure, we set out to find a nearly undocumented waterfall deep in the backcountry of Josephine County, Oregon. After an earlier attempt was cut short by a washed-out road, the obsession to reach this hidden gem grew stronger. The route is notoriously rough, following an old overgrown roadbed with steep, rocky sections we dubbed "The Suck" due to its relentless 25° incline.

What was supposed to be an 8.2-mile e-bike ride turned into a grueling hike, especially after we lost pedal assist when a wire snagged on a burnt madrone snag. Despite the challenges, we reached the end of the road and launched the drone to capture incredible views of the 120-foot main falls and 60-foot upper cascade.

The last mile to the base of the falls involves a steep descent and boulder scramble up the creek, which we had to save for another day. Still, the footage we got was worth every step. This place is so remote that even if you pinned it on a map, it would remain untouched and silent.
