Yeshan Spring and Autumn Garden is named after Yeshan, a cultural site from the Spring and Autumn Period. It is the birthplace of Fuzhou's urban civilization 2,700 years ago. Yeshan, also known as Quanshan and Jiangjunshan, is an important part of Fuzhou's historical and cultural city. There are many historical sites in the park. Ouye Pool is said to be the place where Ouyezi, a famous smelter in the Spring and Autumn Period, forged swords. It has a history of more than 2,000 years. The Quanshan Cliff Inscriptions are a group of cliff inscriptions located in the urban area, reflecting the evolution process of Fuzhou city. In addition, there is the ruins of a Tang Dynasty polo field. According to the unearthed stele, it was built by Pei Ciyuan, the governor of Fuzhou in the late Tang Dynasty.
The stone carving art in the park is also quite exquisite. The park has set up statues of Wuzhu and Ouyezi and relief walls. The relief wall on the square of the polo field ruins depicts the scene of the Tang Dynasty polo game, vividly showing the social outlook at that time.
