🇩🇪 🇨🇿 Two Switzerlands you’ve probably never heard of — Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland. ⛰️

Join us on a journey through one of Central Europe’s most spectacular sandstone landscapes, stretching across the German–Czech border. Towering rock formations, narrow gorges, dizzying viewpoints, historic mountain trails and bizarre stone labyrinths make this region feel far more remote than its location would suggest.

🥾 We explore both Saxon Switzerland (Sächsische Schweiz) in Germany and Bohemian Switzerland (České Švýcarsko) in the Czech Republic — from famous landmarks to much less visited corners hidden among the rocks.

🏰 Along the way we visit dramatic viewpoints and rock castles, cross bridges suspended between sandstone towers, climb the Häntzschelstiege Klettersteig, explore the area around Bastei, hike through Jetřichovice to Mariina skála, and discover places such as Ostroh / Rudolfův kámen.

🧗 There are steep stairways, exposed passages and easy via ferrata sections, but also peaceful forest trails and extraordinary panoramas over the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.

🚣 We also travel through narrow rocky gorges by boat, while another part of the journey takes us underground to Rabštejn, a former World War II aircraft-production complex hidden beneath the Czech landscape.
