Shanghai metro line 2

Shanghai Metro Line 2 began trial operation on September 20, 1999. It is the second rail transit line completed in Shanghai, running across both banks of the Huangpu River in downtown Shanghai. Connecting Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, it also passes through many prime tourist areas and transportation hubs in Shanghai, such as Jing'an Temple, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, the Bund, and Lujiazui.
