Puerto de Soller is largely built around tourism and there are plenty of hotels here. The neighboring town of Soller is about 3 km inland and this is where the population has lived throughout history to seek protection from pirates. If you want, you can take an old tram to Soller. The tram takes about 20 minutes and departs from the port. Soller is a more genuine place with an active folk life and many attractions. In Soller there is also a market on Saturdays. At the market you can find a lot of locally produced food and handicrafts.
