Tivoli Copenhagen Crowded Tom Jones Consert

The park was founded in 1843 (the inauguration took place on August 15) by the journalist Georg Carstensen and,
with its mix of park environment, concert hall, restaurant selection, rides and performances, has been a model for
other amusement parks such as e.g. Liseberg in Gothenburg.
With over four million visitors annually, Tivoli is Denmark's number one tourist destination (3.7 million in 2010,
of which approximately 3/4 in summer and 1/4 during Christmas). The amusement park is Scandinavia's largest
in terms of the number of annual visitors.
