Salema is one of West Papua’s most extreme runways. At just over 200m, we actually sacrifice the first 75m to ensure a smoother landing at the slope’s transition. Watch as I complete my pre-flight checks and roll toward the abyss. In seconds, the plane dives off the cliff, catches the air, and begins a steep climb over the dense, prehistoric jungles of West Papua.
