
Nara deer
A group of Japanese deer that inhabits Nara Park and the surrounding mountainous areas in Nara City, Nara Prefecture.
As wild animals, they have no owners and are a national natural monument.
Deer cracker
Deer crackers have a long history, and are said to have been sold as early as the 1670s, early in the Edo period.
The paper band of deer crackers is harmless to deer if they eat them.
