The Alfred County Railway was a 610 mm narrow-gauge railway in South Africa that ran 122 kilometers from the southern hub Port Shepstone on the Indian Ocean via Izotsha and Paddock to Harding, KwaZulu-Natal. 
On June 18, 2008, a violent storm hit the coast, which led to large flash floods. As a result, many of the railway bridges along the Hibiscus coast were damaged and could no longer be repaired.
