Bogildo Island, Goksu-dang
[Information]
"Bogildo Island is well-known as a place steeped in the legacy of the esteemed scholar Gosan Yun Seon-do. It takes about 40 minutes by ferry from Wando Port. Arriving on the first ferry, we headed to Nakseojae and Goksudang, our planned filming locations, only to find a sign indicating they open at 9 AM. I was initially worried that filming might be difficult if there were many tourists, but thankfully, being a weekday, we were able to film without much interference. Gosan Yun Seon-do, who is also featured in textbooks for his 'Fisherman's Calendar' (Eobusasiga), must have found Bogildo incredibly beautiful to settle here and conceive of building pavilions and gardens. Perhaps he found greater meaning in nurturing future scholars amidst the beautiful nature, away from the complicated and troublesome affairs of Hanyang. Wouldn't anyone feel that way sitting beside a beautiful pavilion next to such a winding stream?"
