I spent a week wondering through Merida, soaking in its beauty and talking to people living here. But I couldn’t shake the feeling that this magical place felt empty. So I asked Venezuelans to send me voice messages so you can listen to their stories as I walk around this beautiful state.

My Story:
I booked a one way ticket to Central America to see what I was really made of. 10 months and 8 countries later I found myself in South America, contemplating if I should visit Venezuela. People had told me not to visit, they told me it was too dangerous, but is it fair to sum up a whole country with one word, "dangerous." I went to go see with my own eyes and what I saw surprised me.
