Take a spring afternoon stroll through Areikara Sukojima, one of Japan's most unique waterfront walking paths in Kure City, Hiroshima.
This is the only place in Japan where you can walk right alongside active JMSDF submarines and the rare cable-layer vessel Muroto — moored just meters away. No fences, no barriers. Just you and the fleet.
The walk continues through the surrounding area before finishing at a hilltop park overlooking the city and the Seto Inland Sea.
