"Through the rainy Volcano National Park, toward the clouds of Mauna Kea."

Our second morning on the Big Island began with the gentle sound of rain. Embracing the weather, we headed into the lush rainforest to explore Thurston Lava Tube (Nāhuku). Experience the vivid green fern forests, sharpened by the rain, and the serene, echoing depths of the lava tunnel in stunning 8K 3D.

Next, we walk the Devastation Trail, where the destructive power of past eruptions has left a hauntingly beautiful landscape. The feeling of trekking across wet, black volcanic ash offers a mystical atmosphere unlike any other.

Leaving the national park behind, we set our sights on the sacred Mauna Kea. Follow our journey along the iconic Saddle Road, cutting through the clouds and vast lava plains, until we reach the gates of the Mauna Kea Visitor Center. Experience Hawaii’s ever-changing weather and the sheer scale of the island’s interior.

Join us for an immersive drive across the edge of the world, captured in lifelike VR180 3D.

[Journey Highlights]

Thurston Lava Tube: Exploring fern forests and lava caves in the rain.

Devastation Trail: A walk through a landscape frozen in volcanic time.

Saddle Road Drive: Hawaii’s premier drive, feeling like a flight through the clouds.

Mauna Kea: Ascending to 2,800m (9,200ft) toward the Visitor Center.
