In 2077, the state of ERK owns every public sound. Arno is a former pianist whose hands were taken by the regime fourteen years earlier. One morning, during a visit to his secluded refuge, he recognizes a tiny imperfection in the state march. The mistake is unmistakably his: proof that his own performance has become an instrument of control. Arno sets out across the silent city to confront the system that stole his music and reclaim authorship of his own life.
