After Gosainkunda and Lauribina La, I head down toward the Helambu Trek using a quieter shortcut. For hours there are no shops, no teahouses and almost no people — just misty forests, rocky trails, waterfalls and the sounds of nature.
The scenery changes dramatically as I descend, making this one of the most atmospheric parts of my Nepal adventure.
