Notice: AI Passthrough is presently in beta mode, and as such, users may encounter occasional service imperfections. The feature is currently exclusive to the DeoVR app, but it will soon be accessible on both browsers and mobile devices. Your feedback is highly encouraged and appreciated.

This is Part 1 of the Chichibu Three Shrines journey.
Together with Chichibu Shrine and Mitsumine Shrine, Hodosan Shrine is known as one of the Three Shrines of Chichibu. Each shrine preserves its own architecture, legends, and spiritual traditions.
The walk begins at the torii gate, continues up the stone steps to the worship hall, and circles the shrine buildings, offering close views of their colorful carvings and distinctive gongen-zukuri architecture.
According to tradition, Hodosan Shrine was founded in the year 110. The legendary prince Yamato Takeru was surrounded by a mountain fire but was guided to safety by sacred mountain dogs. He later enshrined the deities on Mount Hodosan.
The shrine buildings are also known for their richly decorated carvings, including scenes from the Twenty-Four Paragons of Filial Piety and figures from Chinese mythology.
This free VR360 experience introduces the first of the Three Shrines of Chichibu.
Continue the journey with Chichibu Shrine, known for its historic carvings and connection to the Chichibu Night Festival, followed by Mitsumine Shrine, a mountain sanctuary with a long tradition of wolf worship.
