My taxi driver in Barquisimeto invited me to lunch and watch the World Cup at his house. Talking to him and his wife gave me a better look into what life in Venezuela looks like and the challenges they face.

My Story:
I booked a one way ticket to Central America to see what I was really made of. 10 months and 8 countries later I found myself in South America, contemplating if I should visit Venezuela. People had told me not to visit, they told me it was too dangerous, but is it fair to sum up a whole country with one word, "dangerous." I went to go see with my own eyes and what I saw surprised me.
