Japan Fukushima Nihonmatsu Lantern Festival Short Version
His festival began about 370 years ago. At the night festival, seven taiko floats are lined up, and each one is lit with over 300 lanterns. All lanterns will be lit with candles donated by Nihonmatsu Shrine. The highlights include uphills, downhills, and curves at intersections. Antenna-like devices called ``suginari'' are lowered where there are power lines, road signs, traffic lights, etc.
