I start on a crowded public bus from Pokhara towards Ghandruk, then jump off early and skip the jeep road to hike on foot up to Jhinu Danda. From there it’s a constant uphill push all the way to Lower Chomrong, where I finally crash in a simple mountain hotel for the night.

Along the way, village dogs literally guide me up the trail, passing suspension bridges, stone steps and tiny settlements as daylight slowly disappears.

Put on your headset, sit on the bus, then climb every step with me – feel the first real ascent of the ABC trek in full 3D.
