The forecast was calling anywhere from 6 to 12 inches of snow this weekend in Boston, and we covered it live in 360°.

Grab your VR headset and sit right in the middle of the action for blizzard conditions without having to leave the warmth of your living room! Or, watch on your phone and see the view change as you move around. If you are watching on a desktop, click the center of the player and drag to change the view and use + or - to zoom in or out!

The snow in the Boston area was not supposed to begin until the overnight/morning hours of Saturday February 7th, 2026, but we ended up launching the stream earlier than anticipated because bands of ocean effect snow and freezing fog started rolling in Friday afternoon. This storm had been hugging the US East Coast for most of the week, bringing rain to the Mid-Atlantic states, but there just so happened to be an extreme cold front coming through the Boston area that this storm will smash into to produce a thick coating of light, fluffy snow similar to the last storm event in the area.

The Boston area was particularly affected by this weekend's storm since this type of setup can lead to significant accumulation of ocean-effect snow and freezing fog, which it definitely did! The tiny snow flakes created by these effects lead to some pretty spectacular visuals around the street lights during the evening, and they were coming down heavily Saturday morning.

It's wicked pissah kid!
