It's a snowy sunset here on the 360° live weather stream from Boston! Grab your VR headset and some hot chocolate!

The real snow isn't supposed to start for another few hours, but the weather gave us some spectacular scenery before the main event arrived. We had barely gotten the camera set up before it started happening.

The snow in the Boston area will not begin until the overnight/morning hours of Saturday February 7th, 2026, but we began Friday evening to get plenty of footage for a time-lapse video of the storm. This storm has been hugging the US East Coast for most of the week, bringing rain to the Mid-Atlantic states, but there just so happens to be an extreme cold front coming through the Boston area that this storm will smash into to produce a thick coating of light, fluffy snow similar to the last storm event in the area.

The Boston area will be particularly affected by this weekend's storm since this type of setup can lead to significant accumulation of ocean-effect snow and freezing fog. The tiny snow flakes created by these effects should lead to some pretty spectacular visuals around the street lights during the evening.

We plan on running this stream for about 36 hours to capture the whole event. Be sure to check back throughout the day on Saturday to catch the peak of the snowfall!

It's wicked pissah kid!
