chaSkógafoss is a majestic and iconic waterfall located on the Skógá River in the south of Iceland. Plunging from a height of 60 meters (197 feet) and spanning a width of 25 meters (82 feet), it's renowned for its sheer power and stunning beauty. The waterfall is part of the Skógársel, a complex of cliffs at the former coastline of the country, providing a breathtaking backdrop to this natural wonder.

Visitors can enjoy an unobstructed view from the base or climb a steep staircase to an observation platform overlooking the falls, where on sunny days, rainbows and double rainbows often form in the misty spray. Skógafoss also serves as a starting point for the Fimmvörðuháls trail, which winds through highland passes to Þórsmörk, offering an immersive Icelandic trekking experience.
