Abe Lincoln

The image was originally made by Alexander Gardner on Oct. 4, 1862. It shows President Lincoln meeting with General McClellan a few weeks after the Battle of Antietam in McClellan's tent at Headquarters of the Army of the Potomac. Some worker who printed this image in the late 1870's for the War Photograph & Exhibition Company left his fingerprints on the negative!
