Hongyuan County, a county under the jurisdiction of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, is located in the northwest of Sichuan Province and the central part of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. It is adjacent to Ruoergai County in the north, Songpan County, Heishui County and Aba County in the east and west respectively, and is connected to Barkam County and Li County in the south. It has a continental plateau cold temperate monsoon climate with no obvious boundaries of the four seasons. The total area is 8,398.23 square kilometers. As of June 2023, Hongyuan County has 6 towns and 4 townships under its jurisdiction, and the People's Government of the County is located at No. 13, Chongtang Lane, Yulong Community, Qiongxi Town. As of the end of 2022, the total population of Hongyuan County was 49,583, and the urbanization rate was 43.65%.
