The confluence of the Danube and Ipeľ rivers is one of the most beautiful and geographically fascinating spots in southern Slovakia. It is here that the Ipeľ River ends its long journey and flows into the mighty Danube. This point is unique because it forms a natural triple border between the Slovak village of Chľaba, the Hungarian town of Szob, and the village of Pilismarót on the opposite bank of the Danube. It is an area where not only rivers meet, but three different regions as well. For tourists and photographers, this location is a real gemstone. It offers stunning panoramic views of the Danube and the nearby Visegrád Mountains in Hungary. Thanks to the aforementioned railway bridge with a pedestrian and cycling footbridge, the confluence has become a popular destination for cross-border trips."
