St. Georgenberg Monastery in Austria.
A special pilgrimage site in the Karwendel Silver Region is St. Georgenberg in the Stallental Valley. The St. Georgenberg pilgrimage church welcomes pilgrims atop a rocky cone approximately 100 meters high. Rathold von Aibling, who, according to chronicles, founded St. Georgenberg in the first half of the 10th century, is said to have lived in a cave at that time. St. Georgenberg was originally home to the Benedictine monastery, which is now located in Fiecht Abbey.
