Join The All-Around Adventurer as we journey deep into the rugged wilderness of the Arkansas Boston Mountains! Today, we are taking a peaceful backcountry trek north of Fern, Arkansas, near the iconic White Rock Mountain recreation area, to stand at the base of the beautiful and secluded Rattlesnake Falls.

Because this is a full 360° VR video, you are in complete control of the view. Feel free to swipe your phone screen, drag your mouse on desktop, or strap on your favorite VR headset to look all around at the steep mossy bluffs, towering forest canopy, and rushing mountain water surrounding us in the hollow.

📜 History of the Trail & Area:
Hidden away in Franklin County, Rattlesnake Falls sits just a stone's throw away from the legendary Ozark Highlands Trail, a premier 270-mile backpacking route established across the Boston Mountains. The rugged landscape here was carved over the years as seasonal mountain runoff sliced through layers of regional sandstone and shale. While the name might sound intimidating, hikers rarely spot the namesake timber rattlesnakes here; local lore suggests the name comes from either early homesteader encounters or the unique way the split water stream resembles a serpent's fangs during high-flow seasons.
