In this immersive 360° VR walking tour, we hike through the rugged limestone canyons of Maquoketa Caves State Park in Jackson County, Iowa, navigating the trail to explore all 16 designated caves and rock formations. From the towering, cathedral-like chamber of Dancehall Cave to narrow subterranean crawlways, towering 100-foot dolomite bluffs, and quiet woodland boardwalks, you have total control over where you look.

Look up into the hardwood canopy, look down into the rocky stream beds, or lean into the cavern openings to inspect the ancient dolomite formations.

Maquoketa Caves State Park features over 6 miles of trails connecting dramatic fissures, sinkholes, and caves carved into Silurian-age limestone. Remember to always carry a flashlight, wear sturdy hiking boots, and follow local DNR guidance regarding white-nose syndrome cave conservation.
