Yangjae Citizens’ Forest is a spacious urban park located in southern Seoul, offering a peaceful retreat just beyond the busy streets of Gangnam.

Designed as a community green space, the park features wide lawns, dense tree-lined paths, memorial sculptures, and seasonal flower gardens. It is especially popular among runners and cyclists, thanks to its well-maintained trails and open layout.

In spring, cherry blossoms soften the pathways with pale pink hues. Summer brings lush greenery and shaded picnic spots. Autumn transforms the park into warm tones of gold and red, while winter reveals a quiet, minimalist landscape beneath bare branches.

Unlike heavily touristed landmarks, Yangjae Citizens’ Forest maintains a local rhythm. Families gather on weekends, office workers take lunch breaks on the grass, and pet owners stroll beneath tall ginkgo trees.

More than a park, it represents a slower side of Seoul — where nature and daily life coexist without spectacle.

Whether you come for exercise, reflection, or a simple walk under the trees, Yangjae Citizens’ Forest offers a calm pause within one of the city’s busiest districts
