⛩️ Okinawa Day 6｜Shurijo Castle・Kokusai Street・Naminoue Shrine & Beach 🌅

Our final day in Okinawa begins at Shurijo Castle, once the royal and spiritual heart of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Rebuilt with remarkable craftsmanship after the 2019 fire, the site still carries deep cultural pride — from the vivid red gates to the intricate Shureimon details, every corner reflects the island’s enduring spirit.

Next, we made our way to Kokusai Street, the lively downtown stretch filled with local shops, colorful Shisa statues, and Okinawan flavors. From traditional restaurants and souvenir stores to the iconic Okashi Goten dessert house styled after Shuri Castle, every turn offered something new to discover.

We ended our journey at Naminoue Shrine, dramatically perched on a seaside cliff, where people once prayed for safe voyages and good fortune. Just below, Naminoue Beach offered a peaceful contrast — turquoise water, soft sand, and sea breezes beneath the bridge. As the day faded into golden light, it was the perfect farewell to this beautiful island.
