Japanese Shrine【IWA SHRINE】伊和神社

The divine object is said to be Ōhani no Mikoto, but isn't it strange to call Ōhani no Mikoto the Iwa Shrine? Iwa Ōkami is also recorded as a deity of equal rank, but it's hard to believe they are the same deity—rather, reading the Harima no Kuni Fudoki makes one suspect they were actually in opposition? There is also a legend of a white heron here, and while the legend of a crane brings to mind Yamato Takeru no Mikoto, that is another story. The shrine grounds are vast, covering approximately 55,000 square meters (about 17,000 tsubo), and the main hall faces north.

御祭神は、大己貴神（おおなむちのかみ）と言うことになってますが、伊和神社って名前で大己貴神はおかしいですよね！同一神ってことで伊和大神も記載はありますが、大己貴神と同一神とは思えません、むしろ敵対していたのでは？とも播磨国風土記を読むと思ってしまいます。ここには白鶴の伝説もあり、鶴の伝説と言えば、日本武尊を彷彿とさせますね。お話しは全然違いますが。境内の広さは約55000平方メートル（約17000坪）と広大な敷地に北向きの本殿が建ってます。
