Notice: AI Passthrough is presently in beta mode, and as such, users may encounter occasional service imperfections. The feature is currently exclusive to the DeoVR app, but it will soon be accessible on both browsers and mobile devices. Your feedback is highly encouraged and appreciated.

표범도마뱀붙이(Leopard Gecko, 학명: Eublepharis macularius)는 파키스탄, 아프가니스탄, 인도, 이란의 건조하고 바위가 많은 지역에 서식하는 소형 도마뱀이다. 표범처럼 생긴 반점 무늬 때문에 ‘표범도마뱀붙이’라는 이름을 갖게 되었으며, 전 세계적으로 가장 인기 있는 파충류 반려동물 중 하나다.
성격이 온순하고 사람 손을 잘 타며, 눈을 감을 수 있는 이동식 눈꺼풀이 있어 다른 도마뱀붙이류와는 다르게 깜빡이거나 눈을 감고 쉴 수 있다. 야행성으로 밤에 활동하며 귀뚜라미, 밀웜, 슈퍼웜, 바퀴류 등 곤충을 주식으로 먹는 곤충식 동물이다.
사육 난이도가 낮고 다양한 모프(색·무늬 변이)가 존재해 파충류 입문자와 전문가 모두에게 사랑받는다. 적절한 환경과 관리만 제공하면 10~20년 이상 건강하게 살며, 사육자와 신기할 만큼 친숙해지는 모습도 보여준다.

Leopard Gecko — English Description
The Leopard Gecko (Eublepharis macularius) is a small, ground-dwelling lizard native to the arid and rocky regions of Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, and Iran. Known for its striking spotted pattern resembling a leopard, this gecko is one of the most popular reptile pets in the world.
Leopard geckos are docile, calm, and easy to handle, making them ideal for beginners. Unlike many gecko species, they have movable eyelids, allowing them to blink and close their eyes while resting. They are also nocturnal hunters, feeding primarily on insects such as crickets, worms, and roaches.
Thanks to their hardy nature, simple care requirements, and wide variety of color morphs, Leopard geckos have become a favorite among reptile enthusiasts. With proper care, they can live 10–20 years or longer, forming a surprisingly strong bond with their keepers.
