🎈 Taitung Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025｜Doraemon Drone Show & Rainy Afternoon at Luye Highland 🌧️

Every summer, the grand Taitung Hot Air Balloon Festival lights up the skies of eastern Taiwan. Each year features a new theme — last year it was Hello Kitty, and this year it’s Doraemon! Around Taitung Station and the bus terminal, you can find adorable decorations that fill the city with a cheerful holiday mood the moment you arrive.

In the afternoon, we headed to Luye Highland to wait for the long-anticipated drone light show. However, light rain began to fall, and for a moment everyone worried that the performance might be canceled. The crowd waited patiently under umbrellas, hoping the weather would clear. Fortunately, the rain gradually eased and eventually stopped, allowing the show to go on as planned.

As the rain finally stopped, the first drones took off, their lights painted colorful patterns across the sky — from Doraemon’s familiar face to his magic gadgets. Even after the rain, the night was filled with excitement and applause. Though the original Doraemon theme song had to be replaced in this video due to copyright, the performance itself was just as moving and unforgettable.
