A couple living next to the train tracks is jolted awake by the noise of a passing train. The woman asks the man to move away, which triggers memories of a girl he fell in love with one summer during his childhood, a girl who was terrified of the sound of trains. As he recalls the promise they made, the man seems to have a distorted memory of it. Yet he cannot forget what he witnessed.
