Hossawa Falls, located in Hinohara Village, Tokyo, is a magnificent waterfall and the only one in Tokyo selected as one of the "100 Best Waterfalls in Japan."
Although the falls consist of four tiers with a total drop of approximately 60 meters, visitors can view the lowest tier—which has a drop of 23.3 meters—up close and even approach the edge of the basin.

During the coldest part of winter (around January and February), the waterfall freezes, transforming into a spectacular "icefall."
