Haunted Houses (Longfellow)

A dream of a haunted house. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's "Haunted Houses" (1858), read slowly in a low voice over dark ambient music, while pale figures glide across black water, a chandelier turns in the night air, an unseen planet rises, and a moon lays a bridge of light across the sea.

Six minutes, made for stillness. Best lying back with headphones.

Words: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (public domain). Voice and music made with Suno. Staged and filmed in Unity as stereo VR180. Houses from Kitbash3D, figures and motion from Mixamo.

"All houses wherein men have lived and died / Are haunted houses. Through the open doors / The harmless phantoms on their errands glide, / With feet that make no sound upon the floors."
