Wander China Ep.14|China’s Hidden Tie-Dye Art（藏在中国自贡的古老扎染艺术）

Zigong Tie-Dye is a traditional craft from Zigong, Sichuan, China, with a history of over a thousand years. It is closely connected with the local salt culture and is often called “blue-and-white porcelain on cloth.” Craftspeople stitch, tie, and dye the fabric with natural plant colors, creating unique blue-and-white patterns. Each piece is like a handmade painting full of life.

自贡扎染，是中国四川自贡流传千年的传统手工艺。它与当地盐业文化有关，被称为盐都的“布上青花瓷”。匠人用针线把布料扎出图案，再用天然植物染料反复染色，形成独一无二的蓝白纹样。每一块扎染布，都像一幅有温度的手工画。

**自貢扎染（じこう・しぼり染め）**は、中国四川省自貢に千年以上伝わる伝統工芸です。地元の塩の文化と深く関わり、「布の上の青花磁器」とも呼ばれています。職人は布を糸で縫い、縛り、天然の植物染料で染めることで、世界に一つだけの青と白の模様を生み出します。一枚一枚が、ぬくもりのある手仕事の絵のようです。
