Step inside a German farmhouse built in 1688 that is now located in Staunton, Virginia. Meet the tailors and see how they use historical research and authentic tools to reproduce the fashions of the 18th century. Though not everything worn on site is sewn by hand, much of the repair work and alterations require the same manual skills and patterns used 300 years ago.
The Frontier Culture Museum is a living history site that features an African, English, Irish, German, and Indigenous American farm to show the origins of the people of the Shenendoah Valley, as well as farmhouses of the 1820s and 1850s preserved with the furniture, tools, and livestock to help visitors connect to the rapidly changing world of the American Frontier.
Shot with a Vuze XR, RIP :-( If anyone would be kind enough to donate an Insta360 Evo or another Vuze, I will happily accept your offer in my DMs.
Best viewed with a VR 3d Headset such as the Oculus/Meta Quest, HTC Vive, Pico, Valve Index, etc. I've also been uploading videos to HoloVolo.com which creates volumetric projections for trippy 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) viewing straight out of Minority Report.
