Exploring Suemori Castle Ruins in Spatial Video: Traces of the Oda Clan
Step back into Japan's Sengoku (Warring States) period with this immersive Spatial Video of the Suemori Castle Ruins, tucked away in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya.
Built in 1548 by Oda Nobuhide—the father of the legendary warlord Oda Nobunaga—Suemori Castle was once a vital mountain fortress and the stage for fierce succession battles within the Oda clan. Today, the site is preserved as a quiet forest sanctuary inside Shiroyama Hachimangu Shrine, where deep dry moats (karabori) and steep earthen ramparts still reveal the scale of 16th-century samurai defenses.
