Want to relax in bed while watching DeoVR in your VR headset? It’s easy to do this in the DeoVR app with a Quest 3, 3S, 2 or Pro headset.

Use the Meta button to reset and lock in place

  1. Set the Guardian to map your room and include your bed or sofa in the free-roam area
  2. Load the DeoVR app
  3. Now get in position. Lie back with your VR headset on
  4. Once you’re content with your position and angle, hold the Meta button on the right controller (the button with the Meta/Oculus logo)
  5. This will re-orientate the view in your HMD to your current position and lock it so you can look around but the image will stay fixed in place

Grab and pull

Alternatively, you can hold the grab + index trigger button together (on either controller) and move the app to set the POV to the desired position.

This is a quick way to readjust your viewing position. It can also help to fine tune the position and help you place the viewpoint to the precise position you wish. It works differently from holding the Meta button, so you may need to use both to get your preferred position.

Further tips:

  • The default strap is best for laying down as it sits close to the back of the head
  • The Bonobo strap can be used, but angle your pillow below the strap towards your neck, so that the back of the strap touches the mattress and your neck is on the pillow
  • You can even try it with a strap removed, but be careful to move slowly and hold the headset when needed
  • You don’t need to keep the room light on while using DeoVR - only when you first get into position
